Why should one perform vaastu shanti pooja?

Vastu is Kaal Purush or Purush. He is regarded as the main presiding deity of any premises. Interestingly, he is believed to lie head down in an inverted position inside the earth. Usually, his head lies in the northeast, while his foot is positioned in the south-west direction. Both his hands lie on the North West and southeast direction. His stomach or abdomen is believed to be the abode of Brahma, who according to Hindu scriptures is regarded as the creator of the Universe.

Vaastu Shanti worship is basically a pooja that is performed to please the lord and deity of directions, five elements of nature as well as natural forces to eradicate any type of Vaastu dosha related to land and the building. Performing Vaastu shanti pooja can avoid major changes and demolition in the structure of a building.
