Out of the 27 nakshatras, Vishakha is the 16th nakshatra in the constellation. It consists of the four stars in the constellation of Libra; namely Alpha, Beta, Gamma & the Iota Librae and form a “forked branch” than can be seen under the bright star Spica. This nakshatra is extended from 20 degrees Libra to 3.20 degrees in Scorpio.

Jupiter is the ruling planet of this nakshatra with Satragni, also called as Indragni- a leaf decked triumphal gate being Vishakha nakshatra lord. Indra is said to be the ‘God of Lighting’, and Agni denotes ‘God of Fire’, where this nakshatra is controlled by Radha, signifying the love & delightfulness of Shree Krishna.

People born on this nakshatra are found to be extremely bright, attractive with a round face. To talk about their physical appearance, some people are found with long & fatty structures, while some are very short & lean in structure.
