Vaastu tells us what animals can be kept as pets

A pet is an animal kept primarily for a person's company, protection, or entertainment rather than as a working animal, livestock, or laboratory animal. Popular pets are often noted for their attractive appearances, intelligence, and relatable personalities.

Pets provide their owners or guardians both physical and emotional benefits. For instance, walking a dog can provide both the human and the dog with exercise, fresh air, and social interaction. Pets can give companionship to people who are living alone or elderly adults who do not have adequate social interaction with other people.

After a long day of stressful work, the moment you enter the house, you are given a warm welcome by your adorable pets. The pets build an emotional bond with all the family members and they make you feel important. Many people prefer petting a dog, cat, birds, rabbits, cows etc.

But one needs to know that Vaastu brings balance between our lives and nature so according to Vaastu keeping animals in cages is not advised at all.

Here are a few points that one should take care before petting an animal:

· The most preferred direction to keep the pet animals is either east or north or the northwest east direction. Keeping them in the south-east and south-west directions should be avoided as they can make them restless and unhealthy.

· Vaastu doesn’t recommend keeping a cat as a pet because of its cunning nature. Despite taking good care of the cat, it deceives the owner hence it brings in negativity.

· Dogs are regarded as loyal animals and they can be tamed. But one should take a lot of care for the dogs and the kennel of the dog should be placed in the north direction.

· Dogs should be taken to the veterinary doctors at regular intervals and extra care should be taken about the hair fall of dogs.

· Dogs get emotionally attached to its owner so one should not leave the dogs alone for a longer time.

· As per the Vaastu rules, the crying of dogs can create negative vibrations at home.

· Having a cow, buffalo or a goat as a pet is not only beneficial as per Vaastu but they are very useful as well.

· As the cow is regarded as a sacred animal, Vaastu recommends keeping a cow and its calf at home to come out of major problems.

· One should ensure that the pigeons don’t make their nest at your homes.

· Fish can be kept as pets as they bring in prosperity and good health to all the family members. However, one should ensure that the aquarium should be placed in the north-east direction.
