Remedies for the malefic effects of Rahu in astrology

People generally get scared of Rahu and Rahu Dasha as the effects are very severe. According to the mythology, during Samudra Manthan, an Asura named Swarbhanu disguised himself as Gods and tasted some nectar, but he was caught red-handed by the Sun and the moon and was brought to the notice of Lord Vishnu. Lord Vishnu got enraged and cut off Swarbhanu’s head with his chakra. Thus, the head of Swarbhanu became Rahu and the remaining part of the body became Ketu.

Since then, the sun and the moon became enemies of Rahu and Ketu. Therefore during an eclipse, Rahu and Ketu swallow up the sun and the moon.

As per the Vedic astrology, Rahu and Ketu are regarded as dark shadow planets. Rahu is considered to be more powerful and malefic with its snake-like body. It is said that Mercury, Venus, and Saturn are friends of Rahu whereas the Sun, Moon, and Mars are enemies.

Rahu is considered to be favorable to politicians. He bestows them with huge opportunities to grow in politics. Rahu is considered responsible for knowledge, speech, foreign travel, telecommunications, computers, work related to electronics, shipping, piloting, journeys abroad, poisonous medicine, risks, research and new inventions.

People with Rahu in a strong position of their horoscope would be aggressive in nature. They often fall to evil habits like gambling and theft. Rahu is also connected with the problems related to feet, respiratory system, aging, baldness, skin diseases, pain, and swellings, etc. Rahu is the indicator of worldly desires, fame, greed and high intelligence.

Rahu takes complete 18 years to complete one zodiac cycle and remains for almost 18 months in each sign. People going through Rahu Dasha would go through mental restlessness, dissatisfaction, and fear. It tends to produce very strong behaviour, addictions, fantasies and unrealistic imagination.

One will go through financial issues like unexpected expenses, money gets blocked, unable to repay loans and loss in business during Rahu dosha. Problems will rise between the couples wherein they start mistrusting each other. Fights would start amongst family members hence destroying peace and harmony at home.

But, not to worry as astrology has a remedy for reducing the ill effects of Rahu. Worshipping Lord Shiva and Maa Durga is the very best way to get rid of the malefic effects of Rahu. Chanting the panchakshari mantra and be blessed by Lord Shiva.
