Rahu Mantras Recitation

Rahu is referred to as the north node of the Moon in Vedic astrology. Of the nine planets in the solar system, Rahu and Ketu are called shadow planets because of the planets involved in the process of eclipses. The word Rahu in Sanskrit means to hide or conceal and planet Rahu is an indicator of fame, worldly desires, perception, and manipulation.

According to the description of Rahu in the legends, Rahu has a snakelike body and a demon-like head. The Hindu religious texts explain that Lord Vishnu took the form of a beautiful woman Mohini and diverted the demons from taking the nectar that came out of the milky ocean during Samudra Manthan. But, one of the demons appeared as Devas and drank amruta. When Lord Vishnu came to know about the demon’s disguise, he severed the demon with his disc Sudarshana Chakra.

However, the demon did not die as he had already consumed amruta but his head and body became two separate entities wherein the head part became Rahu and the body became Ketu and they paired their bodies with the snake.

Born of a lioness, Rahu has a huge body and is extremely powerful. As per the Skanda Purana planet Rahu possesses the qualities of increasing one’s potential and can turn an enemy into a friend.

Rahu is the ruling force of a person’s aggression, ego and anxiety. The favourable Rahu blesses one with health, wealth, peace and opportunities to go abroad but a malefic Rahu will force people to get involved in illegal activities and creates situations where one’s character is hampered. So, those under the negative influence of Rahu must perform Rahu Mantra Jaap and get rid of the ill effects of this planet.

Rahu Mantra and remedies to overcome the ill effects of Rahu are mentioned in the vedic scriptures and following them will protect you from psychic attacks. The most effective Rahu Navagraha Mantra “ Ardhakayam Mahaviryam Chandraditya Vimardanam, Simhika Garbhasambhootam Tam Rahum Pranamamyaham” and Rahu beej mantra “ Om Bhraam Bhreem Bhraum Saanha Raahve Namah” must be chanted with complete dedication for 108 times and to get blessings and protection from the deity.

Benefits of Rahu Mantra are:

  • The mantra will nullify the effects of black magic and other evil acts
  • The fear of mind will vanish by regular chanting of Rahu Mantra
  • The person reciting Rahu Mantra will be blessed with good health and all luxurious comforts
  • These powerful mantras of Rahu will build your confidence and give you the courage to face difficult challenges.
