The eleventh nakshatra out of the 27 Nakshatras of the Zodiac signs, this Poorva Phalguni nakshatra is ruled by the Venus- the planet of beauty & arts. Just after the Magha month as per the Hindu calendar, two nakshatras appear in pair known as Phalgunis, the Purvaphalguni & the Uttaraphalguni.

Poorva Phalguni- “The Fruit of the Tree” represents Front Legs of Bed- especially the marriage bed. Symbolized by the “swimming hammock”, with joy & creation in one hand, while the lack of desires & insipidity on the other hand.
