How can donating of pulses and grams help in reducing malefic effects of planets?

In Indian astrology, the benefic or malefic effects of planets are categorized according to their ascendants. For instance, the planets like Jupiter, Venus and Moon are considered as benefic planets whereas Rahu and Ketu always function as malefic effects. However, the malefic effects of the planets can be reduced by donation.

Donation/daan is a way of social work and even has astrological significance. The intention behind donation would be different for different people like some people donate to show off their status. But donating to needy and deserving people can help you in coming out of troubles.

One should donate to the poor and needy and not to someone who is capable. One can feed the animals and birds like cow, cat, dog, bull, camel, and crow. Donating to Brahmans, Hindu priests or young girls who are below the age of 8 years will also be helpful. Educational institutions can be given donations so that it can help children to get standard education.

Other forms of donation one can do are blood donation, body donation, tree donation, eye donation, bhumi-daan and many others. These donations will help you at some point in life.

Apart from this, there are some donations that are to be given on a specific day /time to certain people.

Let us see what has to be donated to reduce the ill-effects of planets and when it has to be donated:

If a person is suffering from the malefic effects of Sun, then they would be facing problems in family relationships, increase in debts. To come out of this, one can donate copper, Manik stone, red flowers, red clothes, bel fruit, wheat, and jaggery on a Sunday.
