Do you know which is the right sleeping direction according to Vastu?

Sleep; the most essential activity to relax and keep our body rejuvenated. In fact, sound sleep is the only way of keeping our body energized naturally hence it is vital for a grown-up person to sleep for around 7-8hours at night and kids can sleep for a longer duration.

However, if the direction of sleep is not correct then you might experience discomfort and your body as well as the mind will not get the much-needed rest. So, people in olden days took advice from experts while designing the house and as per the Vastu Shastra constructed various rooms of their abode.

The bedroom is an important part of any house and it is more important to place the beds in the appropriate direction if you want to lead a healthy life. Sleeping in the wrong direction is an invitation to diseases and misfortune. It is mentioned in Vastu Shastra that choosing the wrong direction to sleep can create hypertension, ailments related to heart and other sleep disorders.

The direction you place your head while sleeping is also an important factor hence one must be aware of the correct sleeping position. So, below are mentioned various directions and their influence when we sleep with our head facing that direction.

  • Head towards the north direction while sleeping - As per Vastu Shastra, sleeping with head towards the north direction is not a good sign. Head in this direction acts like a magnet and a repulsion is created between the north pole of the earth and our body. The electromagnetic energy is generated in this process and the person will experience variation in circulation of blood, stress level increases and you will feel exhausted.
  • Head towards the east direction - east direction is considered auspicious in Vastu Shastra. Placing your head towards the east direction while sleeping increases concentration and you will get new and unique ideas when sleeping in this direction.
  • Head towards the west direction - West direction is considered to be a neutral direction in Vastu Shastra. The persons sleeping with their head in this direction will not get required sleep hence he/she will not feel fresh the next morning.
  • Head towards the south direction - South direction is regarded to be the best direction to place your head while sleeping. Also, it is said that; this direction brings in good luck, prosperity and health will be in good condition. This direction is ideal to get sound sleep and wake up fresh.
