God has designed a custom of marriage where a man and women are tied in a knot for the rest of their life. Marriage is also called wedlock or matrimony and it is formally recognized as union of two different people in a personal relationship.

Marriage will definitely turn out to be successful if it is performed with all the customs and rituals.

Along with customs and rituals, vaastu of a marriage hall is also equally important. Vaastu tells us how a marriage hall should be configured to make a marriage successful. Marriage hall is the best concept as you can arrange everything under a single spacious roof.

Configuration of a marriage hall as per vaastu

Firstly the couple should face the most auspicious east direction when they sit on the stage hence, in a marriage the stage should be suitably positioned in the west direction. The entrance of the marriage hall should be facing towards the east or even north direction will bring in luck.

The area or marriage hall that has been chosen for the marriage should be in a square or rectangular shape. Just for the sake of attractive decoration, don’t pick a marriage hall or area that is round or oval in shape. South-east is the most preffered direction for placing electric fixtures including music system, transformer and dance floor. Likewise food stalls and cooking arrangements should be done in the south-east direction.

Mandap, where marriage will be performed should be arranged in North-East direction to bring in plently of good luck and positivity while fire must be arranged in South-East direction. Your guests and relatives seating arrangements should be done in North direction or it can also be South-West direction.

If there are any stairs in the marriage hall, then those should be either in South-West direction or west direction. Washrooms should be in the West or North-West direction and the veranda should be facing towards the east direction, from where your guests will wall in.

Finding a hall as per the above mentioned configuration is quite difficult but if you manage to find one with similar configuration, your marriage will undoubtedly last long.
