Nadi Astrology

Southern India & Nadi Astrology

There a number of different astrology’s followed across the world, however very few of them have gained popularity and one of them is ‘Nadi Astrology’, where the term Nadi in Tamil refers to ‘in search of’. And each one of us is in search of knowing the truth about our past, present and future.

This predominantly is practised in Tamil Nadu and Southern India. Majorly based on ancient belief that one can decode the past, present and future lives of the living, dead and the ones yet to be born, the data was then documented in the palm leaves and tree barks.

The data was then documented in form of poems in Tamil script by the Hindu sages, which can be read only by the ones who have studied this branch of Astrology.

These were named after the sages who originally wrote the findings namely: Suka Nadi, Kaushika Nadi, Brahma Nadi and Agasthiya Nadi. These are believed to be scattered across different parts of India and are sent throughout all the metro cities on rotational bases.

Despite its popularity, there are certain advantages and disadvantages of Nadi Astrology:

Ø Preserved in Tanjore: A number of leaves were to be preserved in the Saraswati Mahal Library in Tanjore, Tamil Nadu.

Ø Nadi Centres In Remote Places: As some of the Nadi centres are located in remote place, communicating in English and getting access to them is quite difficult.

Ø Fraudulent Businesses: Taking the advantage of its fame, a number of people use this as mode of earning money.

Ø Imprecise Future: None of the astrology’s can predict an accurate future of any person, including the Nadi Astrology.

Ø Remedies: Rishis documented brief of a person’s life along with remedies one need to perform to eradicate the evils.

Ø Locating Your Leaf: There are very less chances of finding your leaf, but in Indian there are certain genuine centres where you can find your leaf.
