The first lunar eclipse of the year took place on 31st January 2018, which was known as Super Blue Blood Eclipse. This is going to be the second and last lunar eclipse of the year 2018.

This lunar eclipse will be the longest eclipse of the century and the moon will be totally covered by the umbra of earth for almost 103 minutes. Right from beginning to the end, this entire eclipse will take 4 hours and 14 minutes, making it the longest total lunar eclipse. This longest lunar eclipse on 27th July 2018 is going to be the greatest eclipse where moon will look the darkest.

The longest lunar eclipse will start at 11.54pm and will finish at 03.49am. This time the lunar eclipse is visible and hence a healthy human being can have food before 12.29pm whereas infants, aged, patients etc., can consume food till 03.38am. This longest eclipse is taking place after 104 years and the sight of previous super blood blue moon will be seen in this lunar eclipse.

Effects of this longest lunar eclipse

The effect of this lunar eclipse on earth is not that auspicious. This total lunar eclipse will be highly effective on people owing Sagittarius and Capricorn as their zodiac sign. Unlike solar eclipse that need protective eyewear, total lunar eclipse can be easily seen through naked eyes. One should focus on the important aspects of life to gain the best out of this lunar eclipse.

The possibility of next lunar eclipse

The next total lunar eclipse will occur on 21st January 2019, which will last for 1 hour and 2 minutes. The eclipse of 2019 will be highly in favor of West Coast. In the year 2019, there will also be a partial eclipse on 16th July 2019 and on the same date first moon landing mission was launched.
