Dwadasa Aditya are the twelve forms of Lord Sun which is also called by the name Aditya. Based on the rituals in the Vedas, various names are given to the Lord Sun by the Vedic sages. Here are the twelve forms of Aditya listed and describes below;

Varuna: Symbolizing water component, he dwells in the people & shines in June-July & with Makara as his Vahana.

Mitra: Shining in May-June (Jyeshtha), Mitra lives in the Moon & for the welfare of the Universe.

Aryama: Residing in every living being on the Earth, Aryama shines in the month of April-May (Vaishakha).

Bhaga: Shining in the month of December - January (Pausha) Bhaga signifies force, vitality, work, power, and clarity.

Amshuman: Living in the wind & being the creator of energy, Lord Amshuman shines in the month of November & December (Margashirsha).

Dhata: Also called Shri Vigraha, he shines in March & April (Chaitra) who is the maker of the Universe.
