Rahu is one of the powerful planets in the solar system and is identified as the north node. According to Vedic astrology, planet Rahu bestows both positive and negative results however it is completely based on its positioning.

According to the Vedic astrology Rahu has complete hold over one’s luck, honesty, beliefs, habits and deeds. It takes 18 years for the planet Rahu to finish one zodiac cycle and it remains in every sun sign for a period of 1.5years. The movement of Rahu is in clockwise direction whereas other planets rotate in anti-clockwise direction.

The Rahu Shanti Mantra is as follows:

“Om Rahuve Devaye Shaantim, Rahuve Kripaaye Karoti, Rahuaaye chamaaye abhilaashat, Om Rahuve Namoh Namah”.

The navagraha mantra for Rahu is “Ardhakayam mahaviryam chandraditya vimardanam simhika garbha sambhutam tam rahum pranamamyaham”.
