Adi Lakshmi as the name itself says this is the very first form of Goddess Lakshmi. It is mentioned in the religious texts that Adi Lakshmi is the daughter of Bhrigu Muni and is the consort of Lord Narayana - the protector of the universe.

In the Puranas, Adi Lakshmi is depicted as a deity with four arms. It is portrayed as Adi Lakshmi holding white flags and lotus flowers in two of her arms while there is Abhaya mudra and Varada mudra in the other two arms respectively. Adi Lakshmi is also known as Ramaa and Indira as well.
